Wheel set opinions
« on: February 28, 2011, 11:58:28 PM »
I know there are a few riders out here so this might be worth a shot.  I need a new wheel set for my Bianchi Eros.  I'd like an upgrade over the stock wheels but want to keep the price within reason.  Most of my road riding is on a recumbent but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the wedgie bike.  Any opinions?

I'm thinking about these, too.

I'm really happy with the Velocity wheels that I have on one of my bikes.

Are you looking for a race set, or a set for everyday riding on public roads?

Millcreek,

Fitness riding.  I would have posted earlier but Bill Gates was doing his best to drive me crazy while I was saving that Bike Island link.  I weigh about 165, I could probably get away with a lower spoke count wheel but I don't have any objection to heavier wheels, higher spoke counts.

What kinda tires do you have in mind?  What kind of road surface and riding do you expect?

Let that drive your wheel selection.
