Alien tadpoles
« on: March 08, 2011, 03:08:02 AM »
We haz one!

SWMBO is on the nest again.  Due date is October 18.  Had the first ultrasound earlier today.  Everything was as it should be.

I'm pretty sure that God was laughing his ass off though on some aspects of this.

1) That due date is 3 days after rifle deer season opens.  So there goes big game hunting for this year.
2) It is also my mom's birthday.
3) Over many years I've bought SWMBO jewlery that primarially contained some combination of diamonds, emeralds and opals.  Our daughter was born in April.  Our son was born in May.  This one will round that collection of stones rather nicely.  Overall the odds of picking the months of each kids birth in advance like that is 1/1728.   [tinfoil]
4) The midwife that caught our daughter 7 years ago when we lived in Tucson is moving to our area of Washington and will be working at the Birth Center we selected for pre-natal care and the delivery.  She starts there in mid-April.

SWMBO of course is  [barf] on a regular basis.  Hopefully this one goes like the last two in that she got totally over the  [barf] as soon as the first trimester was over.

Yep, Congrats! and fwiw the vitamin supplements the ex got while pregnant with kiddo seemed to help with the morning  [barf]

Never been pregnant personally  =D but they did seem to help her.

Kiddo's birthday and her eldest sister's birthday are the same.

You do realize what causes that, right?

Are you sure it is a tadpole?  Did you spend any time on the planet LV-426?

Well, either he does or there is no point telling him now.   =D

Jamis - Still cyphering that one.  Any clues?

grisley - the midwife had SWMBO stop taking the pre-natal multi and just take the folic acid supplement.  That's helped her quite a bit.
