This is just TOO good:
Quote
First Amina Arraf, the supposed Syrian and alleged lesbian behind the blog A Gay Girl in Damascus, turned out to be a married guy from Georgia. Now we hear that they couldn't get a real lez to edit Lez Get Real, the lesbian news site where "Amina" started her rise to stardom.
<lengthy wapo excerpt>
The best part of the Post piece: "Amina often flirted with Brooks, neither of the men realizing the other was pretending to be a lesbian." Jeez. Are there any more real cowgirls in this land?

On the internet, nobody knows you're a man pretending to be a lesbian.

There was an even better story, of some mid-eastern unhappy couple where both husband and wife were having an online affair... and unknowingly with each other. Supposedly, the eventual RL meeting went swimmingly, with the guy screaming "I divorce you" three times very loudly and the woman fainting..

I'm not sure whether it wasn't a hoax though.

This is why I am open about being a lesbian in a man's body.
I promise not to duck.

The internet, where:
The women are men.
And the children are Federal agents.
I’m not saying I invented the turtleneck. But I was the first person to realize its potential as a tactical garment. The tactical turtleneck! The… tactleneck!

We all know there are no women on the internet.

And Lesbians are women.

Therefore logic dictates there are no Lesbians either.
I promise not to duck.

That's funny.  I used to play a online game and one of my friends was a lady who had a man character show she wouldn't get hit on.

Hmmm.....using the Internet to pretend to be something other than what you actually are.....how rude.......
