Anybody familiar with Eau Claire area?

I will be headed out to slightly south of that fine city in a couple of days for a family outing.

Is there some sort of a public range there? Or any interesting gunshops? I'm sure most people who live in the smaller towns just hit the field behind the house for some shooting, but I thought I'd check.

There's some small gun stores in the Eau Claire area, maybe smaller than you're used to. Other than that it's the box stores.

There are some private clubs in the area. There's also a county range 15 miles or so southwest of Eau Claire. You can see info about it at http://www.co.pepin.wi.us/conservation/range.htm They're only open on Saturdays, though.
