The Man with the Golden Gun
« on: October 20, 2011, 05:31:55 PM »
So in the stills and video clips surrounding the demise of Colonel Qaddafi, I see that a gold-plated Browning High Power was allegedly taken from him.  If I was a dictator, I would be carrying some double-stack polymer wondernine or something.  Not a heavy, single-action steel pistol. What if it slowed me down when I was trying to flee?

Were I a deposed despot on the run? I'd go with a G18 with 33 round mags and a Wakizashi like Morpheus in the Matrix trilogy.

More practical though, FN P90 would probably really fit the bill. Seeing as it's actually a "PDW", namely flat shooting, high rate of fire, and just pointy/nasty enough to keep heads down, and the ballistic compromises giving you a rather large magazine capacity.

If you're poorly supported, and they're closing in, you want to lay down enough fire to have at least a chance to get out of Dodge etc.

I promise not to duck.

Every thrid world dictator needs a gold plated gun.

Anyone remember that crappy movie with Nick Cage as the gun runner?

Give me a gold plated folding stock AK47 or give me death!
