Random Thought for today
« on: December 14, 2011, 09:31:29 AM »
Why is it that people whose entire philosophy is based off moral relativism cannot grasp relativism in economics?

From: "How dare you judge him!? What is right for you might not be right for him."

To: "You know, one of our biggest problems is our tax rates, especially our corporate tax rate being far too high."

"That can't be true, taxes were so much higher in the past and we had lots of growth!"

"They were higher, but so were the taxes of all other countries, so that, compared to them, we weren't so bad. Now most countries have a much lower corporate tax rate than we do."

"But taxes were so much higher in the past and we still had lots of growth!"

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Because those people are not true moral relativists.  If they really understood and believed what they preached, they would know that ecnomic freedom is moral relativisim.
The Bible store and the Porno theatre have equal rights to exist.  Neither should be required to subsidize the other's lifestyle.
Get these so called relativists talking religion....you'll see their true stripes.
