Wow.  The only thing missing from that was the usual "alcohol was suspected to be a factor" comment.

But, it was in Illinois! They have very strict gun control there. I'm quite certain the article must have it wrong, there's no way a criminal could get a gun in a state where you have to have a FOID card before you are allowed to own any gun.

Apparently, there's an exception that allows felons to have guns, just so long as they injure one of their friends and get arrested on another felony. Maybe not such a bad policy?
