I have checked a SAK when I've traveled without any trouble. I just put it in my toiletries bag, and threw it in my checked suitcase. But then again, I was traveling on my school's dime.

Not all airlines charge for checked baggage, fer instance, AK Airlines. Ya'll need to shop around more.

Many of us are in markets where there is no shopping around for airline options!

Well, sure - I could take a longer and more expensive route just to avoid the baggage fee   :P

AK airlines are nice  =)

Actually that almost might be worth it to avoid every flight being delayed or late or some dam thing  =|

It's just odd to.think of places in the Lower 48 having less service of any kind then up here.

We have something called "roads." Don't need the planes so much.

I've got a skeletool now and it's *expletive deleted*ing pimp!

Me too....after reading this thread.  I went to see if the local gun shop had the Wingman, and they didn't...but came home with a Skeletool.  It is pretty damn pimp...whatever that means.
The Wingman is still on my list though...maybe next month.

Alaska Airlines doesn't fly everywhere in the Lower 48

For that very reason I simply call it a Leatherman...   ;)
Yeah, but after helping out some folks with a door I realized I have screwed with a Leatherman at a bar...
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.
