Super Moon on Saturday
« on: May 04, 2012, 08:49:14 PM »
FYI for those interested. Not much bigger than a regular full moon, but it looks from Google sky map like it will be in a sweet spot for photography come sundown. We plan on going down to the bluffs overlooking the beach by us to see if we can get some decent moon / landscape images.

Over cast and raining here. Nothing to see move along.

We should not let the moon use its super powers for evil any longer!

All I get is pictures of a fuzzy glowing ball... Might as well photograph a bare light bulb! To much haze in the atmosphere here for any good images!
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!

It was cloudy here last evening.  I woke up about six just in time to see it setting through the trees.

We had a pretty nice view. I haven't played with moon photography since I was a kid, so who knows if my pics came out for crap or not. Gonna download them today and see. I was playing with the standard 1/ISO at F11 and then bracketing all around that.

Not a cloud in the sky here in the desert, walked around without a flashlight at night.
It didn't seem bigger then any other full moon though.

Cloudy, raining on and off here last night.  Some t-storms formed up over Golden CO with a little hail and moved east to threaten plains areas with severe weather. Looks like patches of it are over northwest MissourI and Iowa right now.
