Yes, very strange, and no body nearby to indicate the owner.

The police are looking for someone out of breath.

I'm going to guess they're pig lungs. They look very much like human lungs and are used in Chinese cooking.

Mmmm... Tasty, tasty pig lungs.

A neighbor was BBQ-ing some cow lung the other day.  He'd never waste cow/pig lung by tossing i ton the sidewalk.

I've never seen a complete deer lung.

They are always more like a popped balloon and some gooey stuff by the time I get to them.

Head shots spoil less meat.

Not that I can demonstrate that but it would stand to reason.

Deer are always looking around.  My luck it would move its head just as I squeezed.

There's not much meat on the ribs.  If only I could keep from nicking a front quarter :(

As migration approached, two elderly vultures doubted they could make the trip south,
so they decided to go by airplane.

When they checked their baggage, the attendant noticed that they were carrying two dead raccoons.

"Do you wish to check the raccoons through as luggage?" she asked.

"No, thanks," replied the vultures. "They're carrion."

Is this done when there is a local cat shortage?

Deer are always looking around.

Yes, but they are wary/curious. A quick, soft whistle makes them stop and look at you.

No, you have to send him to a DIFFERENT corner.

Otherwise they'll just keep bantering back and forth, amusing themselves and horrifying everyone else.
