I own a CA model (same as C except stock) and probably have something like 800 rounds through it over the course of 5 years; it's 100% reliable with any brass cased ammo I've used. Steel case works okay too, but I've had a few malfunctions that seem to be the result of combining the steel cased ammo with an already dirty gun. I've gotten it really fouled up with nasty steel ammo over multiple sessions, and even then it will still function 100% with brass ammo, so overall I'm very impressed by the reliability of the gun and the quality of the internal components.
Being 4.7 lbs and able to easily fit in a backpack (even the CA model can be made operational within seconds from folded position), it has some unique benefits compared to competing rifles. In my opinion, the $600ish price tag for a new one, especially since they started chrome lining the bores a while back, is quite reasonable and well worth it. It's a seriously capable and well-engineered weapon, and it gives you the best firepower/weight ratio possible in a semi-auto 5.56.
