so far none of the hysteria you see for other shootings.
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

Security guard does what he's paid to do.  Except for the fact that the guard was likely disarmed, so there's an extra measure of gumption displayed on his part, it is pretty much a non-story.

I assume the security guard was without firearm?  Probably, or the big brave gunman would have thought better of his pursuing his crusade having his tantrum.

That's because the shooter was not a Muslim. Americans only really care if the shooter is Muslim.

And, hey, does anybody else remember a certain poster here being all incredulous about the idea of someone rushing an active shooter?  =D

Like what?

a) Purchase guns?

b) Ride the Metro (from East Falls Church)?

c) Impound cars parked in Metro parking lots?

Of note, I simply cannot fathom how he even got the gun into DC because not only is it illegal to carry handguns in DC, and the gun and magazines he had were illegal per se in DC, it is also illegal to carry a gun onto the Metro (even though there aren't any metal detectors and backpacks are VERY rarely checked.)

OBVIOUSLY we didn't pass enough laws to stop him. The only solution is to make what he did EVEN MORE illegal.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

He's been charged with assault with intent to kill and with bringing a firearm across state lines.

Per se, not a crime.  Probably not accurate reporting.

No one needs that many Chik-fil-a sandwiches....there should be a law against high-sandwich-capacity backpacks...

Beginning to look like the shooter is a left tard. I'm sure the MSM will be right on this.

Can we use names like that, and it's not a violation of the "nicknames" sticky up top when it's a despicable criminal?

I mean, where does one draw the line, because I'm completely and honestly convinced our POTUS is a despicable criminal too.  >:D

No honest man needs a chik-fil-a of any size - they taste disgusting.

He probably couldn't read the signs that told him that the gun was illegal....we need to spend more on literacy programs to prevent more bloodshed....

I propose we make illiteracy illegal.

Point of clarification.  Shootee was not a "security guard" but the building manager/maintenance guy.   Unarmed.  So kudos to him for going after the shooter after being shot.

And regulate signs....no one needs a sign with more than ten words in it....

S.P.L.C. pointed to as partly responsible for the FRC shooting due to their labeling of the FRC as an "extremist hate group." SPLC promptly backpedals claiming that sole responsibility lays with the person who pulled the trigger and couldn't possibly have anything to do with them. The hypocrisy is rank and stifling, but I suppose I shouldn't expect anything less.
