because the backbone of the no id argument is that its a non problem there is no fraud
Its the application of 'The Big Lie"- repeat a slogan over and over again until people absorb it and no longer question it, or in matters such as Voter ID, one just has to say "but there is no fraud..." in order to stop their opponents argument.
Its pretty incredible that people actually believe that tripe. Vote fraud has always been in our elections and is so ingrained in our society that we have terms for cities "where the dead vote." The fact that vote fraud almost always benefits a single party in our country is another reason why so many people are in denial over it.
