I just looked at Google News, and here's the top 3 headlines, all grouped together:

Student hospitalized after shooting at Atlanta middle school
Fox News - 9 minutes ago
Texas prosecutor gunned down; manhunt for 2 suspects
USA TODAY - 15 minutes ago
Mickelson Shoots 60 at Phoenix Open
ABC News - 6 minutes ago

Seriously??

That, and the libs hate Mickelson after his anti-California tax statements.  So associating him with icky guns is just icing to them.

I hadn't thought of that...

Of course it could have just been chance; I get a different 3 headlines every time I hit refresh.  But those 3 really did come up together when I first loaded the page and I thought it was pretty funny.   [tinfoil]

You weren't the only one who got those three headlines on the first page load. I checked my Google news page when I first read this thread and I got those three headlines too.

It seems to me that "shoot" "shoots" "gun", etc have been placed at the top of the list for the highlighted stories section of the website

On two occasions, I have been asked [by members of Parliament], "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.
