Photos of the event, published online by Vice magazine, show Rodman and Kim Jong Un sitting at court side, surrounded by an arena filled with dark-uniformed fans.

"To see everyone letting their hair down and getting into the match made it all the more worthwhile," ...."

The game involved a combination of three stars of the Harlem Globetrotters and members of North Korea's "Dream Team." The final score was a 110-110 tie.

When Kim joined the American group for supper, Vice correspondent Ryan Duffy invited the leader to visit the United States. "His invitation was met with laughter," according to a Vice statement.

Dennis Rodman: Goodwill ambassador?
The weeklong trip by these "basketball diplomats" is not an official U.S. mission, but for a TV documentary production. The video will be shown in an installment of a monthly series produced by Vice for HBO.

In reverse order -- Remember when the Globetrotters were part of the propoganda against the Evil Empire (before it was even an empire)?  In spite of segregation/Jim Crow the 'Trotters stood for America.  (::wipes away tears of nostalgia::)

Rodman?  He's been a bufoon since the day after he appeared on the scene.  Will anybody really care what he thinks/feels/says?

A small, vindictive part of me would love to see Rodman and the rest of the entourage finding themselves on the No Fly List and unable to come back.  Yes, it's petty, but it also warms what's left of the last cockle of what's left of my heart.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

Calling Rodman a doosh is insulting to a legitimately useful tool, when he is a useless tool...

Reminds me of the last scene in "Men in Black" where J is talking to his new partner about aliens hidden in the population. He mentions that Rodman is an alien, and his partner responds that it's not much of a disguise...

Do the Norks want to keep him?  Please.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
