Only caveat I have for you is make sure you measure it exactly. Too little catalyst and it takes forever to set, to much and your application tool will get stuck in it! It will get really hot, too, if you use too much catalyst (or maybe I am thinking about epoxy.) Mix it well.

I haven't used it for years, so YMMV.

Play the theme music from 007 movies while you're working on them.  That will help.

Well, since everyone else is a smarta......guy...

What was said before about the mixture...get it right or it'll set up too quick or not at all.  Make sure all your stuff is out and ready to go.  You don't want to have to go digging for a spreader AFTER you mix it.  Put too much on so you can sand it down level later.  If you get "fish" eyes you can fill them with green filler that comes in tube.  Can't remeber the name of it but I am almost certain it's a 3M product.  Sand the bulk of it with rough-ish paper and finish off with fine...you know that stuff anyway, right.

Oh, and wear gloves.  Makes clean up a lot easier.

why do you need to "smooth" mdf? Especially for bedliner. That stuff is rough as a cobb, is'nt it?. I would only use bondo if there is a lot of thickness to build up.

Been a few years, but my memory is exactly as Tarpley said.

Green surfacing putty by 3M.

Use a dust mask too.

I'd try some on a scrap piece to test how the filler reacts with the adhesives in the MDF. You never know...

Stick it in the fridge for an hour or two before you mix any , at the temps most of the country are having that will keep it from hardening too fast and give you time to work it a bit . Don't try backing off the hardener to get a longer working time , usually you get a batch that won't harden that way.
