Never passing up an opportunity to push his agenda.....
« on: April 25, 2013, 01:35:57 PM »
Quote
President Barack Obama used a part of his speech at the George W. Bush Libary opening today to push immigration reform:

Some of Obama's comments are here: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-uses-bush-speech-push-immigration-reform_719124.html

What is it about this man that he promotes himself and/or his agenda during venues that are intended to honor or respect others?
Is it that he has no shame?
Is he unaware of common courtesy and respect for the ceremonies conducted for the purpose of honoring others?
Does BHO have to be the center of attention always?

I am embarrassed to call this man "president".   [barf]

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Whatever negative things one has to say about W Bush, both he and Laura always seemed to show respect and decorum appropriate to the various events and venues where they spoke.  There is an art to knowing when to speak and when to keep your mouth shut that Obama, and many Democrats, just don't get. Not that Republicans don't do it, but the incidents are a good deal fewer.

Hmm... Based on that, I can only conclude that Barack Obama and my mother-in-law are the same person.

He sure has almost all of the symptoms. Then again, we've known what he is for a long time, with or without the Mayo Clinic.

I'll assume that's a rhetorical question ...

On top of every other failing, Obama also does not respect this nation nor the office that he holds.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Even if you love the president can you find an instance in which to call him or his inner circle classy?

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

Kind of proves the quote from "48 hrs" ca. 1982:
Cates: "Class isn't something you buy. Look at you, you've got on a 500-dollar suit and you're still a low-life. "
