Short sales and falling stock that is. I guess that decision to drop those evil guns is really paying off for them, or not.

Of course, they think it is the Livestrong line, I think they are wrong.

I doubt there has ever been a more aptly named enterprise. It's a useless store if there ever was one, give me Academy any day. Bass Pro and Cabelas even better.

I agree. Dick's sucked even before their stupid decision to drop AR15s.

I still can't forgive them for destroying Galyans. We had a Galyans in Northern Va, a wonderful store, and they turned it into a joke.

Not much choice left in NoVA for out-of-season BP gear though. Walmart only carries BP supplies during hunting season. None of the local shops, except maybe Clark Brothers, carries BP stuff at all. Clark Bros is too far though.

Agreed. I use to go to a Galyans in Plainfield, IN growing up. Excellent place.

Is Sportsman's Warehouse still around?
We used to have 3 of these stores in my state, but they all closed up a few years back.
Used to have one a few miles from me- I spent a lot of money there.

Sportsman's Warehouse is still around. There's one in SW VA. It actually closed a few years ago and recently reopened in the same spot.

Galyans was purchased by Dick's, so you can't count that one any longer.

There's Gander Mountain too.

Same here. We had a Gaylan's in Lombard. I was in the at least twice a month. Since Dick's bought them, maybe twice since then.

I have an academy and a Bass Pro dangerously close to my casa. I've dealt with Dick's and am not a fan.

Sportsman's Warehouse is still open around here as well. Have one pretty close here, and another about 45 minutes away.

Our sportmans warehouse is a bit blah right now. It was one of the ones bought by wholesale sports and then in the last month reverted to a SW. I'm not sure of all the changes on the back end with that... Their stock is currently limited to say the least, they have not been able to do any ordering for a while. It will get better.

Had a SW about 45 min away. Worth driving when gas was cheaper. Had some good reloading stock. Then it closed and I was a sad man.

Have 3 Bass Pro Shops nearby:
1. 15 min up the road
2. 30 min away
3. 45 min away

Have 1 Cabelas an hour away.

Academy about 10 min away.
