Petard comes from Latin.  Petar means "to break wind."  Seems appropriate.

I really do wonder about the president's staff.  Didn't anyone do a little research to make sure she would be a good example?

He is a classic arrogant leader.  No one can be on his staff that is smarter than him.  Makes for a pretty incompetent bunch.

C'mon now, you can't expect a busy man to remember every time he gets a report that the signature legistaltive accomplishment named after him is crashing and burning.

Particularly when he's focused on preparing for reporters' questions about his college basketball championship brackets. Priorities, after all...

I thought it was his laser-like focus on jobs.

He was tired from answering those 2am phone calls about a consulate under attack.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
