Anyone have any good home remedies for helping a really big and deep bruise heal?

Drink aloe vera juice.  Tastes like *expletive deleted*it but it will make the bruise go away.

I'm not a doctor but... any sort of physical infirmity or infection can be cured by a spritz of Windex*

okay, not the pills, but there is a cream made from arnica, in most health product sections of your local store, that works great for bruises or sore muscles.

I like meat right next to mashed potatoes and pea salad, why waste it on a bruise?

A homeopathic approach with Arnica is useful - it can be taken by mouth too as ''6x'' strength - or ''12x'' even.

Witchhazel was also a great bruise remedy.

Remember tho - a bruise is actually a sub cutanious bleed in effect - depth may vary from superficial to deep muscular.  The blood breakdown products are what give all the wonderful colors and there is a finite time the body needs to metabolize that junk!

Once the pain has gone (and hot/cold compresses can speed that) ...... just be patient as nature does her job. Smiley

Dit dat jow.  Ensure you specify no cinnabar powder (mercury) in the mix.

Rub it in before bed.  Breaks up the bruise and speeds recovery much like witchhazel.

I treat my skins with soybean oil.  Helps prevent bruising.
