Have you ever really read the permissions lists for some of the smartphone apps you download?

I was always astounded by some of the games wanting to have access to my telephony application and contacts lists, or to the GPS functionality.  I typically deny and don't install apps that have nonsensical permission sets like that.

NSA obviously has more budget than it needs, if it is pulling this sort of crap.

I have an old style cell for that very reason.  It's a phone, can take pictures and that's about it.
