I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you use Internet explorer.   That thing is called a "browser."  That "e" that you click to look at web pages.

I know.  I actually click a different icon, because mine has a skin.

I've heard of Firefox, but I was hoping you might want to tell me what you like about it.  I may switch.

I like Opera music, but I didn't know it had its own browser.  Does that mean I could listen to Verdi while using the internet?  Sweet.

Firefox for browser
Thunderbird for email client

I do not have the headaches with these as I do when I have to use IE on campus.

Firefox.  I only click the Big Blue E when I have to, for sites that don't work with anything else (usually work related).

Primary browser is Opera 7.54 since I've so far been unable to find my favorite skin for the newer versions of Opera.  IE for those sites that demand it, and for checking my employers web pages.

Firefox user here. It annoys me to no end that I have to use IE to access Yahoo Radio.

Firefox and IE.  I mainly use Firefox due to the tabbed browsing and it's superior popup blocking, but keep IE handy for some sites that don't work right with Firefox.  That may change with IE7 though.  I tried a beta version on my inlaws' PC and was pleased with it.  It's much faster than Firefox on the same platform and has the features I want.  Unfortunately, it requires XP and I don't have XP on my desktop or company laptop.  Until IE7 becomes "production", I'm not upgrading my wife's XP laptop.

Other than popups, I've never had a problem with IE.

Browser:
Firefox at work, FF at home, FF on Win, FF on linux.

I only use IE when the site absolutely incompatible, usually because of some vile VBA or MS proprietary app running behind the web page.

Email:
Thunderbird at work, home, win, lin

I consider IE & Outlook to be vectors for virus & spyware.

The best thing about Firefox, I think, is tabbed browsing.
Instead of 30 instances of IE running, just have one Firefox with 30 tabs running.
Much more streamlined and easier to use.  Saves a lot of room in my task bar, too.

Tabbed browsing is good. It's why I switched to Opera and then got so comfortable I've yet to get used to Firefox.

The new IE has tabbed browsing I think. Seven tabs if I recall.

I've literally had 30+ tabs in Firefox..the only problem is eventually they stop fitting, so the only way to get to the latter ones is to close some of the earlier ones...but of an inconvenience but not so bad.
It's really useful for forum browsing.
Open a forum, middle click on everything that sounds interesting, then read them at whatever pace I like. grin

Ctrl+Tab goes to the next tab. Ctrl+Shift+Tab goes back.

Tabbed browsing - I have DSL through SBC/Yahoo (guess it's ATT/Yahoo now), and the browser supplied by Yahoo has tabs.  I stated above it was Internet Explorer, but I guess it is not.

It could be.  There are add ons that give IE tabbed browsing.
