Does anyone talk about guns in a separate section of this board?

This is for all the non-gun stuff that would otherwise spam up TheHighRoad.org

Its the anti gun-forum. Everything but guns, really. Well, I guess you can talk about guns here, but most people get enough of that at THR.

It's perfectly alright to talk about guns here.  www.TheHighRoad.org used to have a forum for non-gun topics, but things got out of hand, so it was spun off to this seperate forum.  We could talk about guns, but we usually just chat about other things.  Some topics get very controversial, but a lot of them are just friendly chit-chat.

Better be nice, Nightfall.  Didn't you hear I got the ban button now?

Before any rumors begin, let me just admit that I have not been endowed with a "ban button."

Hey- I've got a belly button, too.

Just ask my 22 month old.  She looks at it and laughs.

I've got a ban button AND a belly button.  But I get them confused and spend hours contemplating the ban button. Tongue

It is a forum of gun owners.

You may talk about whatever subject you want.

As said before, it is the off topic forum for THR.

after years on TFL & THR, i weary of the repetition

at least here we can discus the proper load for HOA clipboard defense

Welcome to APS, steveO. Occasionally there's a gun related thread or two active here, but most of us hop to www.thehighroad.org for firearm discussion. This place is to sit back and shoot the breeze, mostly.

I like the old fashioned , less expensive , brown clip boards. I like the big ones  that work for legal pads, the "regular" 8 1/2" X11" ones and this new smaller one that though I am not sure what it is supposed to fit, is kinda handy when I use index cards.

I gave a lady one to use I had "customized".  Umpteen years ago I bought a clipboard and it was a checkerboard.
One could actually play checkers on it.

So I taped a checkerboard I had made a copy of , that would fit onto that clipboard I loaned her.  With paper, nobody is going to know...

She attended a boring , repetitive meeting, she and her neighbor, sitting in the back, using pennys and dimes played checkers.

I just joined here.  I have seen so many threads locked down by Art due to political subject matter.  I don't blame him at all as they are for the most part not firearm related at all and so many have strong opinions.  Seldom is anything decided.  But they can make interesting reading and are educational too.  It is hard to pick out the chaff from the seed some times.

So, someone has to ask the question.  What caliber for Innies and outies?

No.  Absolutely not.  Nobody had to ask that question.  Shocked

It's an Un-gun forum.  We're allowed to talk about other stuff too.  THR is a gun forum, but it's also a sort of showcase of the intelligent, thoughtful gun owner.  THR counters the "Bubba" stereotype that is so often hung around our collective necks.  Personal attacks and off-topic musings are not allowed; on some boards, they are mandatory.

To put it another way, it's a "gunnies" forum, to talk about (mostly) the non-gun aspects of our lives and the rest of the universe.  It is also my favorite place on all the Web.  Cheesy

When any of us want to talk guns, we usually do it over at THR, because there's a much larger audience of gun folks.  It's not that gun-talk is verbotten here, it's just that it makes more sense to do the it over there.

If you wanna talk guns here, that's A-OK.  You'll have plenty of well-informed responses from well-informed folks.

Actually, it might be an interesting experiment to ask a the same gun related question both here and over at THR, then compare the responses.

Non-gun talk IS verbotten over at THR, though.  So when we wanna talk about the injustice of parking a bass boat on your front lawn, or overthrowing the neighborhood HOA president, or how to fix HVAC systems, or how to deal with feminists at the lesbian night club giving you the willies, or endure some of the worst puns ever concieved by man, well this is the place.
