I will be double damned. Supreme Court shocks me

They just ruled 5-4 in favor of prayer at gov meetings. And I got to tell the local preacher who lead the fight locally

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Great!

Does that mean that we can now cast a sacred circle around the meeting ???
Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward toward the light; but the laden traveller may never reach the end of it.  - Ursula Le Guin

It would appear that a lower court can't read:

Quote
A federal appeals court in New York found the board's policy to be a violation of the Constitution's Establishment Clause, which forbids any government "endorsement" of religion.

My copy of the Bill of Rights must be defective. I can't find the word "endorse" in the First Amendment.

It's right between the wall of separation between church and state, and one of those emanating penumbras.

Sad day really. I'm sure we'll see Mother Church burning atheists at the stake soon, since we're apparently in a theocratic war on non-believers now according to the press.
