another "what is this song?" question...

ok... they play it on this car commercial... it sounds like a harpschicord, and then the song jumps to when the guy is singing "dream on, dream on..." i heard it on the radio today and it was, like, a really awesome song. so i'd really like to know what it is. thank you.

From the 70s.  My recollection is that Aerosmith released it before they were well known, and it didn't catch on.  Much later (a year or two ?) they rereleased it, it became huge, and so did Aerosmith.

It's been around so long and the radio plays it so much that I'm tired of it  ... years ago !

Tired of Dream On??!?!?!?!?!?  I still get the chills each time I hear that song.  And to think that Steven Tyler wrote it when he was 19.  I can't remember what I was doing when I was 19, but I certainly wasn't writing songs that could be stake a legitimate claim to the "#1 American Rock Song" title.

This is one of many songs I have heard on commercials lately that make me realize I'm getting older.  "We Are The Champions" for Viagra?  UGGH!
