The wailing
« on: November 04, 2014, 11:57:58 PM »
And absolute gnashing of teeth over on Democratic Underground is absolutely beautiful....

I mean, if we could take all the energy being expended in self-pity and hippy tears, we could probably power the country for 2-3 years....  :D

I try not to be one of those annoying people who is jaded, and inflicts that upon other people. Especially at election time. But I am. That said--
I loathe the democrat party infinitely more than the GOP, and thusly am enjoying the tears.

The other wailing I'm looking forward to is the "came back to bite you in the ass" wailing on the "Reid Rule" for a 51 vote majority in the Senate.

Some of the quotes from Mark Warner's people in the Virginia race are disgusting and reprehensible. Essentially continued playing of the racism card to "explain" why Gillespie made such a good showing in the state when it wasn't expected.

Mary Landrieu supposedly said the reason she wasn't running away with her race in Louisiana is because her state's racist AND sexist, that they just don't like women there. I guess that's why they elected her to three terms in the Senate.

These people are as delusional as they are disgusting.

I really hope that the Senate Republicans don't get caught up in a revenge cycle and blow any chance they have at making a difference.

I was just reading some comments regarding Oregon's "driver's licenses for illegals" ballot measure being soundly trounced (in the land of Portlandia no less), and most of them were about evil white people and racism. It just seems to be the "goto" phrase for progressives these days when things don't go their way.

I’m also looking to leave because MA just voted to keep the filthy casinos. Also, there is a gun store that just popped up out of nowhere down the street from my house on a main street. I no longer feel safe in my neighborhood or my state. Should I find a way to move to Vermont where Bernie and the sane people live? Or if I can’t afford to leave, should I just do myself in? I honestly am terrified that we’re living in the decline of the Weimar Republic and the rise of the Reich.”

Don't be surprised if that gets repealed before Reid hands over the reins.

There's always abstinence. But I very much doubt that the "me first" generation would be willing to give up their lives of instant gratification, so it'll never work. Heck, we're in a time when even purported Roman Catholics ignore the teachings of their own church and practice birth control.

Mind you, I have no problem with birth control. But IMHO it's extremely hypocritical to defy the teachings of your church and then claim to be a "good ___ ."

I think a lot of Baby Boomers are menopausal so the birth control is less of an issue.
