I would, since I don't like lobster. But if I bought a lobster, I would eat it, not "free" it.
For years we (the whole extended family) had a cousin convinced that lobster tasted "yucky", in spite of the evidence of us coming up from drawn butter only for a quick gasp for air before plunging in again. I think he was 15 or 16 when he learned the truth - and he's still not forgiven any of us.
(Side note: my maternal grandmother held that both lobster and shrimp became kosher with the application of even the slightest amount of MSG. Personally I think it was Mr. Yee at the Peking Palace, instead of some rabbi, that told her that.)
