Dog is old and her bones hurt. So he builds a nice air conditioned bed for her:

I will absolutely be making one of those.  Nikki just can't handle the Vegas heat.  She doesn't have the aching bones.  In fact, she'll play fetch until she drops.  And the girl HAULS ass after that frisbee!  But, when she's not doing that, she's looking for the coolest place she can find.

That's great.  My pup likes the linoleum front hall in MN the summer, right by the HVAC vent.

A while back, SWMBO was telling me what would be required for a dog pen & house, air conditioning was on the list.

Sent her a link to that bed, looks like it'd be cheaper & easier than AC'ing a dog house.

'Course, I may still put in the AC, for my own comfort.

I helped build a dog home for a lady where her Irish wolfhounds have their own place with an ac and heat and hot and cold running water. Copper roof

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

The ventilated frame would probably work a lot better with a couple of exhaust ports. All he has is inlets. (Unless the fabric is so porous that the air flows up through them.)

I wonder how often he has to change the frozen bottles.

Hawkmoon - "provides a nice breeze for her tummy." - the Mesh is porous enough.  Plant shade material is designed to allow airflow.

He calls is a swamp cooler, but swamp coolers work by evaporation.  Evaporating water absorbs head in order to change state from liquid to gas, improving cooling over simply passing over a cold substance.

The water bottles make this a thermal mass AC system because the water doesn't evaporate.  Well, they likely collect moisture until they start approaching room temperature, THEN the water collected will evaporate and provide cooling for a touch longer.

As for the water bottles, I'm guessing about 4 hours.
