R.I.P. Scout26
A group of people had been walking in front of the driver around 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue when Everardo Custodio, 22, began firing into the crowd, Quinn said. The driver pulled out a handgun and fired six shots at Custodio, hitting him several times, according to court records. Responding officers found Custodio lying on the ground, bleeding, Quinn said. No other injuries were reported.
Presumed at least 50% hit rate on target and 0 collateral hits? Well done, indeed.
There will be many heads asploding in Chicago and Illinois State Governments. The only thing more hated in Illinois then Uber is CCW. Combining both into such a positive outcome is very bad for the narrative....
A positive outcome?! How dare you! A gentle giant who never hurt nobody has been gunned down while minding his own business, and just as he was beginning to turn his life around on his way to Bible study after bringing milk and cookies to his granny! Check your privilege, etc!
Has the Uber driver been charged with a crime yet?Has the local authorities published his name and address in the name of transparency?
No charges will be filed against the CCWer. The guy who fired into the crowd has been charged with aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon. That seems way too light to me.
If you charged him with attempted murder you'd be acknowledging that the CCWer probably saved lives.
