If only we had managed to put some severely conservative people like Ryan and Romney into the White House!

It would still be better than the idiots we have now, not much, but a little.

Maybe. Or maybe the GOP majority would rubber stamp anything that the WH pushed through because it was coming from Their Team, and we'd get Medicare Part D and No Child Left Behind etc etc again.

I swear that the NSA obtained photos of Ryan with an underaged midget transsexual prositute, as well as Roberts, Boehner, McConnell and a whole slew of others.

I got an autographed copy of that - well it was autographed by everybody but the midget.  It came inside the box of cereal.

I think it would be like the medicare prescription drug thing.  The media would blast Republicans for weeks and then they would support Obamacare Light or something like that.  Same thing in the end.

If we call it Romneycare instead of Obamacare and Compassionate Conservatism instead of fascism then it's totally cool. And business can do no wrong so when they bribe the feds for rent seeking and fence building regulations it's not really their fault.

And I should vote for the Repugnicant candidate why?

Killed in the house today by a 3 to 1 margin.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Yes, but it's coming back minus the TAA, which what was really voted down.  The Fast Track Trade bill will likely pass without the TAA linked to it.  Today's vote gave cover and deniability to folks that would really rather pass FTT.
At least this is what the cynic in me thinks.

Yep,  Just like them letting part of the Patriot act die to immediately replace it with the "Freedom" act.

Whenever the Republicans start whining about how some "must pass" piece of America-harming legislation is not going to pass, you can rest assured they have a sneaky back door method to ram it through ready to go.

... because some folk have no clue and still believe that (D) and (R) actually make some kind of difference?

It's kind of like those variety game shows where the participants wear helmets and are either on red team
team or blue team, jump through hoops over swimming pools and slippery surfaces, and get points for the team. No matter who wins, it makes no difference, they do you no good and you've just wasted an hour of your life watching it...

Ted Cruz now decrying those who don't trust Big Brother. I wonder how much he and his Goldman Sachs employee wife stand to make from this? Between his NSA boner and this it's amazing that conservatives still support this slimy weasel.
