Just read an article that says that Hamilton is going to STAY on the $10 bill, and the bill with the portrait of the as yet unchosen woman will be produced concurrently.

I actually like that idea, and think they should expand it to other bills, as well.

Hum...

OK, now I'm confused...

The article says that the woman will be in the portrait area, but Hamilton's image will be retained in the design...

Certainly NOT what it inferred earlier.

All this kerfuffle. Simple answer: wait ten years and put HRC on a bill. First woman, and ex-president. :'(

(Assuming we still have paper currency at that point.)

They gotta be dead to be on the bill, HRC will probably still be alive, she will be in her late 70's.

You assume current precedent will still be applicable? How quaint.

Only if it's Lady Liberty.

Or Captain Liberty.

Looks like they want to give Hamilton the axe. Kinda ironic considering his role in US finances.

I'd like to point out that my hometown tried to give him the axe first! Kidding, kidding. We just tried to hang him, not take off his head with an axe.

Interesting Hamilton trivia that not many folks know. In the famous duel which he was killed, he supplied the pistols. Which had a hidden set trigger. It's possible and plausible Hamilton was trying to cheat, but his firearm went off due to the set trigger being so sensitive.

Burr should have been hailed as a hero.

Jackson was the first and only president to pay off the national debt and balance the budget. He needs to stay.  Put Sherman and Patton on higher denomination bills, the two greatest generals America ever produced.   That will piss off a few folks.

Put Jenner on a whatever bill the are re-designing and watch many, many heads explode.  Both on the left and right.  It will piss off everyone.  The femi-nazi's/SJW's/etc. will be mad that a "real" woman isn't on the bill, the social conservatives will be pissed because they put a trans-whatever-it's-being-called-today is on the bill.

Or to riff on Charby's theme:  Anne Hucthinson.  Give the Femi-nazi's a coronary...

I've read that his son lost a duel, using the same brace of pistols.

On my Facefriends page the is one of those White House Petitions to put Ayn Rand on a bill.    Only needs like 600 signatures to make to 100K, where they have to at least address it.

She'd be perfect !!!!

Alicia Rosenbaum, as she looked when she was about 50, on the front.

On the back, a picture of a big gold dollar sign monument on top of a mountain, lit by floodlights.  That, or this.

Jeanette Rankin has been suggested for the $10 bill

Ha ha - Now it's sexist to put a woman on the $10 bill because "it's the least used of the most used bills". So, discrimination!!!!
