this summer one could do it (drive or walk across) on Lake Lewisville nothwest of Dallas.

Water just gets in the way of mowing it anyway.

Knew you could do that on a snowmobile but never seen it done. Must have missed that episode of Top Gear.

Sidenote - Richard Hammond (the presenter of that clip) is apparently mostly all better after his recent 300mph crash.

I've seen monster trucks drive across lakes on tv before, the huge tires allow the trucks to float so long as the truck doesn't tip over.


Snowmobiles- seen it done also. In a town called 'Wisconsin Rapids' in central Wisconsin, they actually have snowmobile races on the Wisconsin river every year- in June. There is another small town in northern wisconsin that hosts a similar race every year.
