so, like I got a smartphone and do not know what to do with it
« on: September 16, 2015, 05:17:13 PM »
I was tempted to try that tinder thing ( heck, I'm single now for yrs, judge knots! ) but I do not want it showing up on my face book.
What GPS app should I download?
I have a samsung note 3.
T boost mobile service.
My step mom wanted me to be able to join the 21st century and went and bought it for me, pretty sweet of her.
I get 3 mega or giga somethings for innernets , and supposedly free spotify but am suspicious ...
I've downloaded ( I think ) some free books from librivox ...
any suggestions on what to do and how to learn about his new fangled to me stuff?
I've tried asking some kids but they're pretty dumb.
For instance I do not log onto facebook thru phone but rather I use innernet because I have two different accounts - one where I swear and one with mom and kids and relatives - ...

Waze or Google Maps for GPS.

But be warned Waze loves to eat the batteries.

Kindle app for reading, tons of free material to download, mostly classics.
Google sky map for star gazing.
Pandora.

Do you want the GPS for driving across country, or driving across town?  Google Maps can get totally screwy when there's no coverage.  I use google sometimes, but I also installed MapFactor Navigator and downloaded the USA maps for long trips.

I prefer Opera Mini for web browsing, it works with the full web pages.

The apps that I like the most, and use the most, as support apps are:

ColorNote

Facebook

Stock Watcher

Yahoo Finance

Yahoo Sports

Google Sky Map

Bubble (a handy level app)

Fox News

aWallet (password vault)

Compass 360 Pro

Alarm Clock Xtreme Free

Brightest Flashlight

Message+

Out of Milk (grocery shopping app)

NASDAQ Stocks

Tapatalk

BBC News

None of those are what I term "core" apps, things like my web browser. They're all nice to haves.

I use Strava to track my cycling workouts and mileage.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
