My ESS-Heil AMT speakers were sounding incredibly shy on bass after the move from Florida. Imagine my surprise when I removed the grill cloth on each to discover that the foam surrounds on the woofers had rotted away after owning them all of 10 years. The big passive radiators on the back are pretty close to the same condition. Damned Florida salt air!
Have you had your woofers re-foamed or re-coned, and if so, who have you used and how expensive is it?
