The New York Public Library has put 20,000 historical maps online. Free high rez downloads in case any other map nerds like me are interested:

Are they all from the NYC environs?


I'm looking for a ~1959 road map of Long Island and upstate New York.

Can't see how to get maps like that from that site.

I didn't check all the download / search options, but here's one. The direct link shows up weird on APS and takes you to a different search, but if you click on "digital collections page" at the URL below, it wil ltake you to a list of maps.
