Airplane Door Mistake

Well, the good news is that it happened on the ground. The bad news that it happened in China, so she's probably still being waterboarded for her mistake.

Would something like that be caught on the flight recorder box if the plane were in midair?  Or are they locked --really locked --before takeoff?

The FDR would catch that the door was opened, if it was opened, which would be very difficult.  The aircraft pressurization is pushing on the locking lugs of the door.  I'm not sure if any human could open the door without help or leverage.
