Self-Awareness fail on Twitter
« on: April 18, 2016, 10:34:01 AM »
I know, it's surprising given how twitter is usually such a bastion of reasoned discourse, but I almost fell out of my chair on this one:

"This is bigotry against bigotry!"... one tweet later "people who believe in the invisible man in the sky".

The lack of awareness is just a thing of beauty.

(Oh, and note the awesome smack down on Michael Moore to start the thread.)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

We've got to get that fifth vote in the Supreme Court.

Yup.  So do we.

And it's not just a question of just your vote.  It's a question of dragging along all your "pro" friends to the polls or making sure they mailed in their ballot.

Just like the lefties do.

There is a ocean/coastal capable 35 footer up for sale at the marina. I could probably pull it off. Every day that goes by getting the hell out looks better and better.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

I've given stuff like that the odd thought too.  But I'd HAVE to pull in SOMEWHERE, eventually.

Where?

I figure if I'm gonna have to live in a banana republic it's damn well gonna be tropical.
