A solution for which one is the lesser of two evils

Quote
Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the age of 68.

I think she made the right choice.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I don't look at death as a choice, so much as an inevitability..... [popcorn]

I know the transhumanist attitudes get poo-pooed around here as the "rapture for nerds". But I hold out a slim hope for functional biological or digital immortality, or some combination of both, and perhaps a second lifetime/career of being a spaceship or something.

I agree the odds are long for a slew of reasons, but with the progression of technology, I don't think it's a zero-chance anymore.
I promise not to duck.

I have no desire for biological immortality and I don't think so highly of myself to believe that a digital copy of me (and a copy that isn't really me anyway) is worth keeping around.

I wouldn't mind it. I read and watch too many stories cliff hanger endings. I like knowing what happens next and I don't want to die before finding out.

Then again, Trump vs. Hilary isn't exactly quality entertainment...  =|

Speak for yourself, sucker.

I'm either going to live forever, or die trying.

Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Put me down for five on the latter please...
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!
