I enjoyed that show a lot when I was young. Back then, it never occurred to me that we never saw anybody muck out the stall -- and I really can't imagine an architect having his drafting table in a barn.

I still watch that thing on the olde pharte over-the-air channels.  Actually, well plotted and directed, and how they got that horse to do things and wear weird hats and giant sunglasses and the like was amazing.  Was one of the few TV things I could "suspend reality" on without mentally cringing.

RIP, Willllbur.  You did good.

Some of the others before the great TV "green purge" or "rural purge" were the Beverly Hillbillies and, of course, Star Trek and a few more.

One gag that always made me giggle was the telephone line bit in Green Acres.

The numerous cancellations prompted Pat Buttram ("Mr. Haney" on one of the canceled shows, Green Acres) to make the observation: "It was the year CBS canceled everything with a tree-—including Lassie".[6][7]

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

everything with a tree

Bring back Petticoat Junction!

So which shows "have trees" now? The various survival shows, of course. Longmire or Langmire, or whatever it's called. Justified, if that's still on. What else?
