InkJets
« on: May 30, 2016, 08:01:44 PM »
Does anyone have or use an H-P OfficeJet 6500? I mistakenly bought a full set of ink cartridges for it. Mine is an OfficeJet Pro 8500. I use the 940 series of cartridges -- the ones for the 6500 are the 920 series.

If anyone can use them, they're yours for the shipping. Drop me a PM.

Dang, I use 950 series...
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!

Nope.  HP 4200 here, and I recently retired it.  Bought a Brother HL-L2320D monocolor laser printer.  I figure any color printing I want to do I can bring to Walgreen's.

No, I'm talking print from what looks sorta like a vending machine.  You bring in your pix on some kind of mass media storage and "do things" with it on the machine's monitor and it "does things" and out come your pictures, and then you do things with your wallet.

I've never actually played with one, but I think you can do things like change contrast and sharpen focus and crop.  I've got some pics I'd like to pull a Katie Couric on for some parts before printing.

You're assuming that one would only want color to print photos. More and more other types of documents use color to jazz them up. My home color printer does a poor job on photos unless I spring for special ink and special paper, but it does fine on colored text, graphs, and such like that.
