I still have a functional notebook computer (Toshiba) running Windows XP. I could upgrade to Windows 7 (I have two licenses left out of a 3-license family pack), but I'm probably not going to do that because I also have an office-grade printer/scanner that's old enough there are no drivers for it in Windows 7. And the computer does what I need it to do just fine using XP.
Being an olde pharte, I have the computer (along with my old XP desktop computer) display configured to Windows Classic theme rather than XP style. I prefer the simplicity and the square corners and such. The problem is -- for some reason the notebook won't STAY configured to Windows Classic style. It seems like every second or third time I fire it up, the display has switched itself back to XP style. It's not TEOTWAWKI, but it is annoying.
Would any of you computing perfeshunals have any idea how I can get the display to stay set for what I set it for?
