We're not talking about someone taking out a vape while charging cops and pointing it at them in a full on isosceles stance.  We're talking about someone pulling a card from their mirror or wallet.
That is great, but that behavior isn't what I have read about when I read about these incidents of people getting shot.  What you said isn't a death sentence as you like the mention either.  Traffic stops and the like happen thousands of times a day and we only read about the 1 or 2 worst that have bad consequences.  Almost all of them involve screwy behavior on the part of one of the people involved.

IMO, we all need to regulate our behavior in one way or the other when we are out in public.  That is what adults do.  It applies when we meet with a non-LEO or LEO's both.  It certainly applies since most of us would like to get rid of most gun laws such that just about everyone we come in contact with would have and/or carry arms.  Talking about cards for the deaf and other behavioral things we could to do minimize the chance for a bad outcome doesn't mean we think we are likely to get shot, it just means we want to bring the chance of a misunderstanding down as close to zero as possible.
