A few weeks back, the Army changed its slogan again, this time to "Army Strong." Apparently, NO ONE likes "Army of One." Inside the Army and out, I've heard nothing but criticism for that slogan. My favorite talk show guy immediately attacked it for being liberal.
What's up? I thought it was pretty good. Armies are collective by nature, but it's very true that the Army depends on each individual to do their job. I thought of it as an encouragement to soldiers to hone their skills and take their jobs seriously. But, I never saw any of the commercials. Were they that lame?
