SJW Cake Wars: Blue Lives Matter edition

Quote
Walmart is apologizing for refusing to make a police officer’s retirement cake last week after an employee told the cop’s daughter that her “thin blue line” cake design might be considered racist.

I guess I missed the day of rage over this one. Not making a cake for someone is still a crime against humanity, right?

"Some animals" once again rear their heads.

To reiterate my position: I have no problem with Walmart saying "no". I had no problem with Christian bakeries saying "no". If people don't like either or both positions, give someone else your business.

So if cops are a different race, wouldn't that mean that refusing to make them a cake is even more racist?

OTOH, we could save a ton of tax money by simply enslaving them.

I think a monkey could've made a better cake than the one they finally did.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

These people actually did. They went to ANOTHER BUSINESS! :O I didn't know you could do that.

From the look of the cake that Walmart provided AFTER the negative publicity, original employee was doing them a solid favor.

That is one powerfully ugly cake.

My understanding is that the Walmart manager did the decorating because the people there that knew how to decorate still refused to do so after the publicity. So from my perspective, kudos to the manager for at least trying, and once Walmart chose to make the cake, if the employees still refused to decorate it, it's pink slip time.

They have a right to their opinion, but they don't have a right to their job or a right to avoid the consequences of not doing their job. If they want to make a stand, they should start their own bakery and have a "no cops" and/or no whatever else offends them policy.

The Libertarian party has been infiltrated and co-opted by libertine progressives.

The alt right and neoraction blogs I've perused over the last year often claim that "classical liberalism" always devolves into the collapse of morals and then tyranny.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

The alt right's morals are kinda shady and some of them would luuurve some tyranny.

For Gary Johnson, wouldn't that be the kind they bake in Colorado these days?  :O

So if cops are a different race, wouldn't that mean that refusing to make them a cake is even more racist?
And . . . it would be discriminating against a MINORITY!!!  :O

Would you let them handle it after the initial refusal?  How hard would it really be for someone with an entire WalMart at their disposal to mix something into one batch of frosting?

Pretty difficult with someone watching them every second, which is what I'd be doing if I were the manager. Except if I were the manager, they'd actually be fired.

It's a leaderless movement.

More than anything it is a clearinghouse for ideas.

Obviously democracy is fatally flawed so the flirtation with "enlightened" monarchy makes sense.

Our republic was doomed from the start. The heart of humanity is wicked and cannot sustain a system dependent on the popular vote. It will descend into chaos sooner or later. It's a system designed for a good, moral and religious people.

We are none of the above and it's questionable whether the majority ever really were.
