There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Ah, good old Cher (and I do mean old). The "Germany in the 1930's" thing. Doesn't she know that the American left was in love with Naziism until the Nazi's started exterminating people? Even then, many leftists continued to support them (Joe Kennedy, for example).
