Still focusing on "gun" violence, I see. Why not put the emphasis where it should be, on violent, anti-social behavior?
They conveniently forget that bombs can kill a lot of people very quickly. They also conveniently overlook that, as one example, the primary weapon of choice at Columbine was bombs. The guns were Plan B, and the killers resorted to Plan B (the guns) only when their bombs failed to detonate. By far the deadliest school massacre in the history of the U.S. was carried out entirely with dynamite, not guns. (Bath Township, Michigan.)
