Russian Ambassador to Turkey Murdered
« on: December 19, 2016, 01:29:35 PM »

Russian ambassador to Turkey was murdered by a Islamic extremist.  Waiting on Putin's response.

Was the shooter provoked by an Internet video?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

I predict just not the shooters immediate family, but pretty much his entire tribe will pay for this crime..

Didn't some "Islamic Extremist" kill a Prussian dignitary in Sarajevo and kick off that whole 1914 brouhaha?

Just for the sake of clarity, you're not saying the Archduke was a victim of Orthodoxist extremism, are you?

Yup. The standard caveat about Putin's history, but notice he isn't talking about going to the UN, calling meetings, looking to see what video set this off, or sending out hashtags. His statement today said that they are "taking revenge".

It's the kind of thing that keeps to a minimum people from F'ing with you. It's actually what I'd like to see come from our leaders, Mattis style vs Putin style, in similar circumstances.

With the Thanksgiving not that long ago, I was thinking something different about a turkey ambassador being murdered. I am disappoint.

What I would expect to see is Turkey doing the revenge thing for Russia.  If they try to drag us in, then yes, kick them out of NATO.

Didn't the Turkish leader just fight off a reported coup attempt and proceed to seize more power?

Yes, and yes. And he continues to grab more and more power on virtually a weekly basis. But he's an Islamist -- don't expect much help from him.

Turkey and Russia made friends, you're smoking if you think this is going to bring them to war or that the Russians are going to bomb anywhere other than Syria over it.

Why would Russia bomb Syria (more) when it was a Turkish police officer who killed the ambassador?
