Thomas Sowell Retiring

Figured some others here are probably fans of his writing as well. Thomas Sowell is retiring from writing his column. I suppose at 86 he deserves a break, but I'll miss reading his thoughts.

His writings will be missed.

I had no idea he was that old.  He has darn well sure earned his retirement.
Going to miss his writings as they were always intelligent and logical, and consistently bound up lefty knickers nice and tight.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Dr. Sowell is going to be a hard act to follow.  All I can say is 'thanks', for so many years of his wisdom.

Will his retirement be blamed on the "alt-right"?
Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?
