No help from guitar forums, might as well ask you guys...

Opinions on Alfred's Ultimate Guitarist's Reference series?

I have the Fingerpicking Pattern Encyclopedia, which I like and have found to be quite helpful. Because of that, I'm thinking of picking up some of the other books from thee same series such as the Blues Licks Encyclopedia, Rhythm Guitar Encyclopedia, and the Guitar Chord Progression Encyclopedia. I need some new ideas to get out of the rut I'm stuck in and learning some new variations would be helpful too because my guitar vocabulary is kind of limited as it is.

What are your opinions of these books? Are they pretty complete, or at least provide a decent overview of different parts of guitar playing?

Other suggestions?
Andy

I think guitar master Esteban was already suggested on an earlier thread.   laugh

I'm sorry, I have no experience with them. Mel Bay is pretty popular in case you don't know.
