I guess that means they are in Oklahoma. When I was a young pup of about 16 I was hunting dove with a single shot 12g by Lake Ellsworth in SW OK when I stepped around a tree and came face to face with a cougar. I backed away slowly and he/she/it went the other way. I reported it to Fish and Game and they looked at me like I had 3 heads. In no uncertain terms they told me OK did not have cougars and I must have seen something else.
A lot of states used to do that, I could never figure out why.
Here in WA I always have a cougar tag with me when I go into the woods.

ODWC acknowledged the presence of mountain lions in the state several years ago. I've never actually seen one, but I have found tracks and other sign. About 8-9 years ago my dad saw one on the back of my place. I was down mowing and he walked back to get me and walked one up that he claimed was watching me mow.
My suspicion about a number of local sightings is that they were released/escaped "pets". In the last 20 years I've know 2 people that illegally kept one as a "pet".
So in the event you encounter a cougar with Alzheimer's you can tag it as a reminder? Is it written in reverse so the cougar can read it in a mirror?
That sheep farmer has a pretty big sheep pen if it abuts Texas, New Mexico AND Colorado.
Meh, the OK panhandle is only about 35 miles or so North to South, it would only have to be a middling size sheep pen out there to manage it.
